Peter A. Darbee

"Telecommunications: A Wall Street Perspective"Prior to joining Pacific Bell Mr. Darbee was Vice President and Co-head of Goldman Sach's Energy and Telecommunications Group. From 1985-1989 he was with Salomon Brothers where he headed its telecommunications group as well.
During his investment banking career, Mr. Darbee assisted telephone companies in raising over $10 billion in capital. He was personally involved as an advisor in the merger of Contel into GTE and Centel into Sprint. He also served as an advisor to the regional holding companies in numerous acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Darbee has pursued investment banking opportunities with telephone companies in 18 countries ranging from Czechoslovakia to Thailand and participated in a number of privatizations.

"Issues Relating to Local Completion"Dr. Taylor specializes in the economic, econometric and policy analysis of telecommunications issues. At NERA, Dr. Taylor has worked primarily in the field of telecommunications economics on problems of state and federal regulatory reform, competition policy, terms and conditions for competitive parity in local competition, quantitative analysis of state and federal price cap and incentive regulation proposals, and antitrust problems in telecommunications markets.
He has published extensively in the areas of telecommunications policy related to access and in theoretical and applied econometrics. His articles have appeared in telecommunications industry publications as well as the American Economic Review, Econometrica, The Antitrust Law Journal, The Yale Journal on Regulation, The Review of Industrial Organization, and the Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences.
